• Degree in Engineering with deep knowledge and experience in Service Sales Strategy and Execution at the regional level. MBA is preferred
• Strong knowledge of Service Sales management and Services Operations with more than 15 years’ of experience in the field
• Able to work effectively in a matrix organization structure. Strong leadership and influencing skills
• Strong communication skills both internally and in dealing with external stakeholders
• Able to deliver the results under the constraint of resources, time, and budget
• Effective oral and written skills in English

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the VISN's comprehensive Suicide Prevention programs and efforts, which include the work of HCS-level Suicide Prevention Coordinators (SPCs) and Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinators (CEPCs).
• Provide oversight, consultation, technical assistance, coordination, and support to VISN 20 HCS and CRH staff conducting Suicide Prevention activities.
• Aligns VISN 20 Suicide Prevention activities within VHA policies and with community partners.
• Serves as the VISN 20 liaison for Suicide Prevention to OMHSP, VISN 20 Mental Health Integrated Clinical Community (ICC); national, regional, and state government partners; and the community as a whole.
• Leads the VISN 20 implementation of VA's public health approach to Suicide Prevention, which encompasses both clinical and community-based prevention strategies and interventions.
• Serves as the primary subject matter expert, consultant, and technical assistant on comprehensive Suicide Prevention to VISN 20, CRH, and HCS staff and community regional and state community partners. Develops and maintains expertise on current Veteran SPCE practices.
• Provides subject matter expertise and consultation for Suicide Prevention at the VISN, state, and local levels. Delivers timely and relevant implementation support and training to the field.
• In collaboration with the VISN CMHO, develops and implements the organizational vision for VISN 20 SPCE programs.
• Ensures SPCE programs are implemented across VISN facilities and CRH according to OMHSP policy and guidance. Develops detailed implementation plans, goals, objectives, and timelines with facilities and CRH programs.
• Shares VISN 20 SPCE performance, best practices, challenges, and needs with OMSHP; seeks and advocates for OMHSP support as needed to improve VISN 20 SPCE programs' implementation and performance.
• Hosts monthly meetings of VISN 20 Communities of Practice for SPCs and CEPCs; ensures CoP meetings focus on reviewing performance and policy, providing consultation and technical assistance, supporting staff and community efforts, and identifying and promoting best practices across VISN 20 sites.
• Participates in and leads work groups to develop and implement VISN and local SPCE initiatives.
• Participates in meetings, calls, and educational events to stay informed on existing, new, and upcoming VA, VISN, national, and state policies and programs affecting Suicide Prevention activities.
• Integrates national Suicide Prevention initiatives, efforts, and education throughout the community by assisting facility staff in developing and organizing local, regional, and state community coalitions aimed at reducing Veteran suicide.
• Represents VISN 20 by participating in national, state, and regional SPCE community coalitions such as the Governor's Challenge to End Veteran Suicide.
• Researches, promotes, and uses evidence-based guidelines in program development and implementation. Leads the translation of revisions or new guidance into practice.
• Consistently works to improve and enhance a VISN-wide community coalition network of unique stakeholders through personal and facility engagement. Identifies network gaps and leverages every opportunity to broaden the network of outreach to the Veteran population to achieve optimum saturation in the catchment area. Fosters creation of new coalitions as needed to address gaps in services.
