Roles that require PVG Membership

Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership. This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above. (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 12 and above (currently £32,555 per annum / £16.92 per hour)

The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.

Job Purpose:
The postholder undertake either individually or as a member of a team a variety of duties concerned with Environmental Operations including both general gardening or street sweeping work and horticultural work of a specialist nature in public parks, playing fields, cemeteries, landscaped areas, public open spaces, public roads, amenity areas and housing estates.

Requirements

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

Must have a Full Class B UK driving licence

Must be physically fit to undertake the full range of duties of the post

Responsibilities

The post holder, as a minimum, needs to demonstrate skills and experience in:

Driving a wide range of vehicles, including 3.5 tonne tipper trucks, Ride on grass cutting vehicles, small mechanical sweepers

A working knowledge and experience of Environmental Services teams and practices.

The willingness to use The Councils digital platforms in relation to HR (CoreHr)

The ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms

The ability to organise and prioritise workloads to deal with simultaneous demands
and to achieve deadlines.

The ability to work proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same
time recognising when matters need to be referred to the Line Manager.

A new vacancy has arisen for a Class 1 and 2 Delivery Driver within our company. We are a market leader in the provision of clean
garments to the food processing and manufacturing industries. We also offer consumables and PPE services and a large supplier to
the pharmaceuticals industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the driving division of the company based at Skegness,
Lincolnshire.




LOCATION: Skegness, Lincolnshire

JOB TITLE: Class 1 and 2 Delivery Driver (Internal Plant Trunk Driver)

JOB TYPE: Full time

HOURS OF WORK: Monday - Friday, 15:00 - 00:45 approximately (Inclusive of a 45 minute break), with occasional weekends paid at
overtime rate

PAY: £145.33 per day



Duties to include:



* Perform daily defect vehicle checks each day.
* Loading the vehicle with Garments, Consumables, Mats and Roller Towels using the handheld personal digital assistant (PDA),
also known as a handheld PC, where appropriate.
* Delivering/Collecting to and from our internal depots.
* To complete any and all paperwork necessary for the route.
* Maintaining the drivers Route Book for the route.
* Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles on a daily basis.



Qualifications:



* Full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years
* Valid Driver CPC/ C+E – Essential

* Good level of spoken and written English

* Self-motivated and committed to the business
* Good at staying focused and coping with pressure
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to use initiative
* Physically capable for the manual handling requirements of the role
