Responsibilities:
Engages in collaboration with clients and their families and may intervene with employers and academic professionals to assist clients with obtaining, retaining, completing, or transitioning vocational and/or educational objectives, per NAVIGATE protocols and standards.
Provides services in office, in-home visits, and/or other designated community spaces (e.g., workplaces and academic settings).
Responsibilities may include case management services, operations support, assisting the therapy and nursing teams with case management tasks, and unit operations tasks.
Responsible for coordinating services for clients and will follow the guidance of the primary therapist to help carry out treatment plan goals and objectives.
Participates in weekly and other periodic supervision, NAVIGATE team meetings, and periodic client treatment planning/review meetings.
Works directly under the supervision of the Odyssey Clinic Social Work Program Manager and/or Clinic Medical Director and with other staff in roles designated in the NAVIGATE protocol.
Must have the ability to make decisions related to treatment planning and implementation in conjunction with client needs and shared decision-making with staff, clients, families, employers, and academic institutions.
Develops and applies an understanding of first episode psychosis and its impact on client functioning across different domains of life with a focus on vocational/educational areas.
Develops an understanding of how local, state, and federal policies may also impact clients experiencing their first episode of psychosis.
Adaptive technological skills are required.
Responsible for ongoing communications with his or her supervisor and other members of the treatment team, and will complete clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Participates in staff meetings, trainings, supervision, and continuing education activities as needed to maintain quality provision and coordination of care as well as any professional licensure and/or certification.

Preparation, purification, and maintenance of laboratory stocks for viruses, cell lines, and plasmid DNA.
Ordering of laboratory supplies (obtaining quotes, filling and submitting ordering forms, tracking order status and receiving orders).
Restocking the laboratory, and maintaining records of laboratory inventories (reagents and supplies).
Overseeing staff compliance with the University, State and Federal guidelines for the safe operation of the laboratory.
Performing or assisting with experiments that provide direct data contribution to ongoing research efforts, including cloning of DNA constructs, preparation of next-generation sequencing library, genetic manipulation of cell lines, etc.

Manages day-to-day planning and troubleshooting of cell culture and animal studies to achieve project goals. When issues arise, work with the PI to adjust the project strategy.
Performs DEXA BMD and Micro-CT to measure bone mass of mice.
Performs culture and analysis of rodent and human skeletal cells.
Performs or assists with surgical and non-surgical procedures involving mice.
Performs standard molecular biology assays (e.g., qRT-PCR; Western blot; reporter assays) on cell culture and animal tissue samples.
Performs phenotyping techniques (e.g., micro-computed tomography; histology) of animal tissue samples.
Presents project updates at lab meetings.
Helps prepare manuscripts and conference abstracts describing study findings.
Helps provide mentorship to students rotating through the laboratory.
Prioritizes workload, schedules experimentation, and identifies problems with experimental plans and approaches.
Addresses problems independently daily and reports significant issues as needed to the PI. Major concerns are reported as they are identified.
Assists the PI with supervision of lab expenditures to ensure adherence to budget projections.
Interacts daily with the PI and other lab members.
