The Clinical Project Manager (CPM) plays a key role in managing day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large-scale clinical projects executed by HistoIndex. These projects often involve samples and data generated from large clinical trials, with varying degrees of customization for data generation and sharing required for different projects. The CPM will also help drive revenue for HistoIndex’s clinical trial services through more upstream pipeline creation and customer engagement. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Development, the CPM collaborates closely to facilitate decisions necessary for timely delivery of high-quality results through successful securing and execution of projects.

Responsibilities:

Project Support for Trials and Studies (Internal):

• Lead planning and communication with cross-functional teams to ensure proper and timely execution of clinical projects.
• Monitor and track compliance to contractual scope of work.
• Implement effective change management strategies when scopes change.
• Communicate relevant project information within the organization.
• Conduct project cost assessments for proposals for new projects.
• Draft proposal documents to share with sponsors including, scope of deliverables and budget.
• Review and implement upgrades to current scope of deliverables and internal communications workflow, to ensure smooth operation as project scales increase.
• Assist in short-term projects related to vendor selection for external tools required for execution of clinical projects.
• Maintain familiarity with MASH clinical trial landscape, including literature search of clinical trial protocols and guidelines.
• Identify new leads in MASH clinical trials or other relevant liver indications.

Sponsor & Client (External Support):

• · Engage customers to present technology solutions related to clinical trials.
• · Address customer inquiries and provide guidance on technology aspects.
• · Lead and manage all aspects of clinical projects, adhering to contracts, protocols and timelines.
• · Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues related to study conduct.
• · Report on project progress and status.
• · Participate in major conferences.

Qualifications:

• · Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or pharmacy.
• · Master’s or advanced degree in relevant disciplines can be considered.
• · Previous experience in clinical project management is preferred.
• · Strong organizational and communication skills.
• · Ability to manage complex projects with attention to detail.
• · Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in writing and drafting relevant documents for projects.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and conducts Continuing Education programs for clinical staff

• Conduct mandatory in-services for all staff.

• Conducts orientation program for new staff and coordinates a smooth transition to team with direct supervisors

• Follow and evaluate newly employed nursing staff after orientation period, conduct extra orientation if necessary, and recommend extension of probation, or termination as indicated

• Conduct and/or coordinator formal and informal education activities.

• Conducts on going education on EMR and new policies implemented within the organization.

• Conduct field visits with Nurses to assess competencies and provide clinical support.

• Ensure that staff attends in-services and keep track of staff attendance of in-service

• Develop and implement focused clinical studies, maintain database, and produce written reports to support conclusions.

• Coordinate with the Quality Department on Infection Control for updates and current practice to ensure all staff are educated

• Develop and implement annual nurse competency assessment program

• Contribute to the development and revision of clinical policies and procedures, educational and training materials.

• Participate in Quality Assessment activities including chart audits, vendor audits, and environmental safety.

• Participate in performance improvements project and committee

• Participate in special activities of the department and institutional as assigned.

• Assist in nursing staff recruitment by interviewing and recommending applicants for employment

Weekly Hours: 40

Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM | Monday - Friday

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Education: Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing; Masters Degree Preferred                           

• Experience: 5 years or more experience conducting training classes or an Education Coordinator in healthcare facility.

• License/Registration: New York State Registered Nurse License     

• Other: Candidate must have excellent written and computer skills.

  

Physical Requirements

• Audio Hearing and Motor Skills (language) Requirements – Must be able to listen attentively and document information from patients, community members, providers, etc., and intake information through audio processing with accuracy. In addition, must be able to speak comfortably and clearly with language motor skills for customers to understand the individual.

• Cognitive Ability – Must be able to demonstrate good decision-making, reasonableness, cognitive ability, rational processing, and analysis to satisfy essential functions of the job.

• Work closely with a cross-functional group of experts in commercialization, regulatory affairs, statistics, and manufacturing to manage clinical development projects; and
• Assist the Senior/Executive Director in ensuring that appropriate Corporate personnel are informed of the progress of studies of our competitors' drugs and internal and external expert opinion on scientific questions relevant to his/her areas of responsibility.

The Director is responsible for maintaining a strong scientific fund of knowledge by:

• Maintaining awareness of scientific developments within his/her area of expertise, in terms of new scientific findings, research methodologies;
• Identification of scientifically and operationally strong investigators who can assist in the development of our companies investigational and marketed drugs;
• Establishing communications with prominent clinical investigators in his/her particular field of interest, particularly those who will be willing and able to assist in the evaluation of our drugs; and
• Attend appropriate scientific meetings to maintain his or her competency and to maintain awareness of research activities in his/her area of responsibility.

Education:

• M.D or M.D./Ph.D

Required:

• Must have experience in industry or academia
• Demonstrated record of scientific scholarship and achievement;
• A proven track record in clinical medicine and background in biomedical research is essential
• Strong interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to function in a team environment are essential.

Preferred: 

• Board Certified or Eligible in Oncology (and/or Hematology)

The Role:
Moderna is seeking a Specialist, Clinical Supply Systems to assist in the operational management of IRT systems and vendors.  This position will work collaboratively across several therapeutic area teams as well as cross functionally to gather relevant information and utilize relevant systems to develop and implement IRT systems.  The successful candidate will be skilled at understanding the needs of programs with attention to detail with a collaborative outlook, fully support their Clinical Supply Systems Leads, be a self-starter dedicated to excellence in their role with the ability to manage a dynamic workload to meet project timelines.

• Responsible for systems management (namely IRT Systems) to support the clinical supply chain

• Responsible for IRT requirements, user acceptance testing, and management
