General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met.
Coordinate with estimators and project controls group to establish budget.
Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process.
Coordinate efforts with estimators, large project sponsor, and manager of construction to manage resources to meet project schedule.
Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and evaluate project feasibility; work with estimating team to develop bid schedule.
Coordinate with large project sponsor, manager of construction and project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off.
Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and Construction Manager to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner.
Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule.
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base.
Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.
Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.
Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.
Education
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
Work Experience
Three (3) to five (5) years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
Maintain ability to work in high production environment.
Demonstrated decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership skills.
Excellent supervisory communication and organizational skills.

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities

Prepare drawings and sketches to support construction work, change orders, and estimates to meet changing job requirements.
Provide necessary building control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials to ensure a quality job.
Develop job essential data including quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man hour, and equipment to ensure accurate estimates and bids.
Research historical data and productivity analysis reports in order to compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates.
May supervise, direct, and mentor project staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met.
Assist in representing company, project and/or department during client and project management meetings to ensure effective communication.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.
Work Experience

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Communicate with Foremen and Superintendent to learn about field construction operations and to provide support.
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, inspectors, & the local community.
Assist with the Project Environmental, Health, Safety requirements.
Assist the Project Engineer with approving time cards in HeavyJob. Ensure all equipment and employees are accounted for on timecards.
Assist with verifying quantities in FIS (Field Information Systems) and log quantities for cost and revenue tracking.
Assist the Project Engineer with generating and distributing daily cost reports (trucking, labor, equipment) to the Project Manager, Foreman & Superintendent.
Assist with the completion of daily reports documenting both Granite Construction and Subcontractor activities.
Place necessary material orders, survey requests, locates, etc.
Maintain a to-do list and diary.
Assist with the calculations of yields of materials used such as concrete, aggregate base & asphalt.
Tour jobsite daily with the Project Manager or Engineer to verify quantities claimed are correct and to stay current on overall job progress.
Additional responsibilities as needed.
Education
High School diploma required and a minimum of 2 (two) years of education from an accredited institution of higher learning such as a college or university
Field of Study
Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Work Experience
Previous construction experience is a plus

General Summary
Essential Job Accountabilities
Perform accurate project revenue and cost financial forecasting to ensure corporate profitability goals are met.
Coordinate with estimators and project controls group to establish budget.
Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid to build process.
Coordinate efforts with estimators, large project sponsor, and manager of construction to manage resources to meet project schedule.
Participate in bid review and bid closing to ensure accuracy of bid and evaluate project feasibility; work with estimating team to develop bid schedule.
Coordinate with large project sponsor, manager of construction and project team to develop comprehensive plan for project start up and successful kick-off.
Provide environment where dynamic project communication occurs between Project Engineers, Foremen, Superintendents and Construction Manager to ensure work is accomplished in an efficient, profitable, and safe manner.
Ensure proper job controls, i.e. quantities, costs, revenue and schedule.
Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, etc., providing customer service to develop long-term partnerships with client base.
Ensure accurate construction reports for the job allowing for continuous improvement in performance.
Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.

Education
BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience in heavy civil construction.
Work Experience
Five (5) to ten (10) years progressive project experience in heavy civil environments.
Minimum of five (5) years experience in paving, dirt, and grading in either private or public environments.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Knowledge of construction paving, underground, concrete and grading practices.
Knowledge and understanding of union agreements and prevailing wage issues.
Maintain ability to work in high production environment.
Demonstrated decision-making skills.

The Project Scheduler will lead the planning & scheduling efforts on multiple high impact commercial construction projects. They are also expected to contribute to Corporate Initiatives including, but not limited to, training development and delivery, data analytics, trend identification and reporting. This position will be based out of our project site in Lakewood, Washington.
Responsibilities
Understand and implement accepted Planning & Scheduling Best Practices
Analyze drawings, specifications, and statements of work in the preparation and acceptance of usable Baseline schedules for construction
Monitor multiple project schedules being developed and updated by Operations staff and provide guidance as necessary
Interact with the Operations team and represent Clark and its partners in the best manner to owners, subcontractors, and their representatives
Support the development of conceptual bid and proposal schedules with executive management and present to selection committees if required
Utilize analytics to identify and report on project trends
Effectively cost and manpower load schedules for use during the execution of the project
Evaluate the actual construction status relative to proposed plan
Analyze and communicate the impact of changes to the schedule
Prepare Time Impact Analyses per recommended practices by commonly accepted standards
Travel to project sites
Develop and deliver specialized Planning, Scheduling and other Project Controls training for Clark Corporate University
Critique, create, and recommend improvements to departmental policies and procedures
Be responsible for special projects and other departmental duties as necessary
Basic Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred
4+ years scheduling experience on commercial construction projects
Proven success implementing strategic initiatives
Detail oriented and can manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment with minimal guidance
Skilled at developing and maintaining relationships with owners, subcontractors, senior leaders and project teams
High degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and integrity
Advanced proficiency in Primavera (P6) software

Clark offers a total compensation package that includes base salary, bonus potential, and a comprehensive benefits package including health/dental/vision benefits, paid time off, retirement/401k, and Company Contribution plan. For this role the base salary range is $85,000-185,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
