Preferred Qualifications
Average of 2-5 years of full cycle sales experience, with at least 1 in the field with a proven track record of success

Experience building a business case and delivering return on investment

What you should have
7+ years of sales experience within a Public Sector Enterprise SaaS organization

Salesforce is looking for proven, talented, energetic, Account Executives responsible for managing a high volume of opportunities to grow our Net Zero Cloud business. The Account Executive role focuses exclusively on selling Net Zero Cloud, which is our industry-leading solution to help our customers accelerate climate action. The Account Executive will formulate and execute a sales strategy within an assigned territory. This strategy will include a programatic approach to building pipeline and closing deals. You will drive revenue growth by sourcing new customers as well as penetrating the current Salesforce customer base by partnering with BDRs and the Core Sales Teams.
You will work as a trusted advisor to deeply understand the unique business challenges and goals of the customer. You will consult with customers on the Salesforce Net Zero Cloud solution to promote accelerated climate action. This is accomplished by participating and leading client meetings or engaging other corporate resources as required, as well as participating in regional forecast calls and account planning sessions. Accurately forecasting sales activity and revenue while creating satisfied and reference-able customers are key responsibilities within the Net Zero Cloud AE position.
You will contribute to our business growth in a fast paced, collaborative and fun atmosphere, as a valued member of our growing Salesforce family.
There are multiple roles available with varying scope but you have at least years of quota carrying software sales experience. Experience in the Sustainability software space is helpful.
Meet and exceed an annual sales quota
Lead a full-lifecycle sales process, prospecting via phone, email, referrals, LinkedIn, Salesforce relationships, partners, etc.
Identify appropriate business contacts, qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline and manage accounts/contacts within Salesforce.com
Engage in technical discussions with potential clients through product demonstrations and presentations with Director, VP, and C Level prospects
Establish and maintain long-term relationships to maximize future revenue opportunities and match our sales process with customer buying processes
Able to be in territory as needed (up to 1-2 times per month)
Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal salesforce system

As an established Strategic Account Executive, you know how to navigate through large organizations. You’re knowledgeable about your clients’ specific challenges and business objectives. You understand how to align your software offering to build a custom solution that your clients can’t live without. You understand what it means to sell a value based solution and engage/create alignment amongst Executives in the C-Suite, IT, and the Mission. Your storytelling skills are unmatched so presenting across multiple departments won’t be a problem for you. You excel in dynamic environments so shifting gears at a moment's notice and providing excellent customer service is what you consistently deliver.
