The Senior Operations Manager will provide leadership and line management to the Cluster Service Managers in delivery of services across Nexus and support to the Director of Operations and Services to ensure effective day-to-day running of the organisation. To provide leadership and senior support to the Cluster Service Managers in the delivery of high-quality clinical services and support effective day to day performance management. To provide leadership and line management to the Patient Experience & Service Manager to ensure that patients receive a high quality service

Duties and Responsibilities include: Professional/ Clinical To be professionally and legally responsible for all aspects of the post- holders own work To work as an autonomous lone practitioner, case managing clients in the community and co-ordinating their care, seeking support from seniors where appropriate. To analyse and interpret complex clinical and social information from a range of sources. To participate in referral triage and prioritise referrals based on urgency of need and risk according to service protocols. To be competent in using a wide variety of specialised assessment, and treatment approaches with adults with a range of conditions. To analyse and interpret complex assessment findings, from both standardised and non-standardised assessments using advanced clinical reasoning skills. Assess a clients understanding of proposed rehabilitation and seek valid informed consent from clients before commencing treatment. Work within a legal framework for clients who lack the capacity to provide informed consent. To teach and demonstrate specific therapeutic techniques to clients, carers and therapy assistants to enable them to carry out a physiotherapy programmes. Assess clients needs for rehabilitative equipment and aids to improve safety and functioning within the home. To advise carers, family members and other agencies in the safe use of the equipment. Be able to identify significant health changes that would warrant medical intervention and liaise with the relevant practitioner. To evaluate client intervention and progress in a timely manner. To adapt care plans accordingly and delegate tasks appropriately to therapy assistants and more junior members of staff, ensuring that they are competent to deliver the tasks given. This includes all aspects of urgent and routine presentations with escalation of care and referral on to other services as determined by priority and severity. The postholder will be familiar with legislation and guidance in relation to asylum seekers and have experience in providing services to non- English speakers who are new to the UK, have had little contact with health services in the past who have experienced physical and mental trauma related to persecution, torture, enslavement and loss of loved ones. Operational duties include the following: 1. Keep the VCS Capacity Building strategy under review and make recommendations for improving the delivery of the Programme. 2. To ensure that the Communication Strategy is kept under review and monitor its effectiveness. 3. Produce an Annual Work Programme in collaboration with the team, Public Voice and MIND CEOs, to be signed off by the Councils Nominated Officer. 4. Co-ordinating the team through regular team meetings and one to one meetings as required. 5. Providing performance monitoring reports as required in the Contract Specification and Work Programme and attending the Quarterly Joint Performance Monitoring meetings with the ICB and Council Nominated Officers. 6. Identify appropriate opportunities from Grant Funders and Trust Funds and to support VCS applications for funding. 7. Promoting the innovative VCS work to a wider regional / national audience through one annual Showcase Event and five local showcase events. 8. Explore and develop an Accountable Body function for VCS organisations to maximise external funding for VCS organisations in the Borough. 9. Support the VCS organisations to remain viable through cost reduction initiatives including consortia sharing back office resources. 10.
