Lead Finance Officer for a portfolio of Retail Services partner credit programs, the Specialty Partners Group (or “SPG”) partnering with merchants in the U.S that include a number of marquee names (like Wayfair, Tractor Supply, BrandSource, Goodyear, Shell). Responsible for leading the financial analysis team in the areas of pricing, investment decision support, expense management as well as partnering with external client and multiple functions within Citi. Be a key leader in the ongoing development of the program strategy. Drive profitable growth in program assets, while optimizing Citi’s capital and operating efficiency through insightful analysis and strategy development and evaluation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including Direct Reports
· Serve as one of Citi’s senior leaders on joint Operating Committee in program relationships, which governs day to day management of programs
· Provide thought leadership and influence internal and external leadership development, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives to drive profitable growth
· Work closely with Citi Risk, Control, Compliance and Operations, and the Retail Partner management teams, to ensure strong internal control/compliance environment
· Develop and implement capital optimization and financial strategy to drive asset and earnings growth
· Partner with cross functional client teams to develop, review and approve all promotional pricing, marketing, investments, and growth initiatives, driving product, channel, and promotion specific profitability analyses
· Analyze contract changes, analyzing financial impacts, negotiate with partner and partner with Legal to draft contract language
· Lead Citi Internal planning process and external partner forecasts for portfolio, collaborate with centralized FP&A team to develop financial projections and present to internal and external senior management
· Hire, develop, and retain onshore and offshore staff members to deliver value added financial analysis and decision support to drive business performance
· Ensure financial transactions between Citi and the partners are in compliant with contract
· Work closely with Citi Controllers and Accounting Policy on accounting requirements for all aspects of partner agreements, policy changes, and initiatives
Education and/or Experience
· B.S. in Finance or Accounting.
· 15+ years of financial experience in credit card industry and/or financial services.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
· Strong leadership skill and business acumen. Executive presence, ability to interact and influence senior management of external client.
· Superior communication/presentation skills; ability to drive change and support for performance improvement across all functional areas.

The 10-week Summer Analyst Program starts in June and begins with in-depth training. The enterprise risk analytics (ERA) team’s mandates include developing and maintaining quantitative risk models for Global systemic stress testing (GSST), economic risk capital, and risk appetite framework. Stress losses evaluated by GSST framework are key metrics for Citi’s BAU enterprise risk management for monitoring the firms capital adequacy. ERA also develops and maintains Risk Capital (economic capital) models which produce firm-wide metric to measure economic capital usage at the consolidated Citigroup. It is reported to regulators and the Board as a key capital adequacy metric for Citigroup and its major legal entities (MLE). Stress losses from GSST are also used extensively in various risk areas to set risk limits and to assess the risk-adjusted profitability of large transactions, and are also important inputs to Citi's overall Risk Appetite Framework (RAF). Risk Appetite Ratio (RAR) and Risk Appetite Surplus (RAS) are firm-wide metrics to measure risk-adjusted earnings power at the consolidated Citigroup and CBNA level as well at the detailed business unit level.
This role is mainly responsible for supporting production process in GSST (Global Systemic Stress Testing), covering for the team focusing on trading book counterparty credit risk and market risk, tracking and monitoring the data quality, sorting out IT/FO dependencies, invest and resolve any production issues. The role is also responsible for developing tools and dashboards for explaining to stakeholder the stress loss numbers, the driving factors, and the month-to-month variation. The role should also help the team to handle ad-hoc stress lost requests from users and give what-if estimation for new business activities. To do so, the new joiner would get a chance to become involved in maintaining and improving our GSST models and Citi's global stress testing framework, and improving model implementation to support additional functions. The new joiner would also engage with stake holders and risk managers to collect model improvements requirements and collaborating with model developers to create project plans for model development and roadmaps for production.
The role has the opportunity to contribute to the development of ERA by his/her in-depth understanding of modern project management methods and the skills for quickly gaining the knowledges to the firm's production system and framework, the trading book stress loss model capabilities, and data and model sub-function availability. These knowledges would enable the candidate to be involved in client and senior manager communications, project planning, budgeting and resource allocation, and priority and milestone planning for the team.
