Lead Finance Officer for a portfolio of Retail Services partner credit programs, the Specialty Partners Group (or “SPG”) partnering with merchants in the U.S that include a number of marquee names (like Wayfair, Tractor Supply, BrandSource, Goodyear, Shell).  Responsible for leading the financial analysis team in the areas of pricing, investment decision support, expense management as well as partnering with external client and multiple functions within Citi.  Be a key leader in the ongoing development of the program strategy.  Drive profitable growth in program assets, while optimizing Citi’s capital and operating efficiency through insightful analysis and strategy development and evaluation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Including Direct Reports

·       Lead Citi Internal planning process and external partner forecasts for portfolio, collaborate with centralized FP&A team to develop financial projections and present to internal and external senior management

·       Hire, develop, and retain onshore and offshore staff members to deliver value added financial analysis and decision support to drive business performance

·       Ensure financial transactions between Citi and the partners are in compliant with contract

·       Work closely with Citi Controllers and Accounting Policy on accounting requirements for all aspects of partner agreements, policy changes, and initiatives

Education and/or Experience

·       B.S. in Finance or Accounting.

·       15+ years of financial experience in credit card industry and/or financial services.

The enterprise risk analytics (ERA) team’s mandates include developing and maintaining quantitative risk models for Global systemic stress testing (GSST), economic risk capital, and risk appetite framework.  Stress losses evaluated by GSST framework are key metrics for Citi’s BAU enterprise risk management for monitoring the firms capital adequacy. ERA also develops and maintains Risk Capital (economic capital) models which produce firm-wide metric to measure economic capital usage at the consolidated Citigroup. It is reported to regulators and the Board as a key capital adequacy metric for Citigroup and its major legal entities (MLE). Stress losses from GSST are also used extensively in various risk areas to set risk limits and to assess the risk-adjusted profitability of large transactions, and are also important inputs to Citi's overall Risk Appetite Framework (RAF). Risk Appetite Ratio (RAR) and Risk Appetite Surplus (RAS) are firm-wide metrics to measure risk-adjusted earnings power at the consolidated Citigroup and CBNA level as well at the detailed business unit level.

This role is mainly responsible for supporting production process in GSST (Global Systemic Stress Testing), covering for the team focusing on trading book counterparty credit risk and market risk, tracking and monitoring the data quality, sorting out IT/FO dependencies, invest and resolve any production issues. The role is also responsible for developing tools and dashboards for explaining to stakeholder the stress loss numbers, the driving factors, and the month-to-month variation. The role should also help the team to handle ad-hoc stress lost requests from users and give what-if estimation for new business activities. To do so, the new joiner would get a chance to become involved in maintaining and improving our GSST models and Citi's global stress testing framework, and improving model implementation to support additional functions. The LFO team plays a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the business, with ownership of the overall budget and plan, deepening of client analytics, and is accountable for business review insights, and will partner across the firm to ensure a deep understanding of financial investments, resource management, and strategic activities driving growth while balancing efficiency and the execution of the business strategy and achievement of the target operating model.

Responsibilities include:

• Partner with and act as a trusted advisor to business partner for all strategic and tactical financial business decisions
• Engage and drive the relationship with business partners through strategic leadership, execution of key priorities, thoughtful challenge, and insightful analysis
• Lead the strategy, execution and implementation of finance specific programs, projects and/or exercises
• Formulate the overall budget and forecast planning, through engagement with business and other partners; ensure financial targets are met, provide insightful input into drivers needed for dynamic decision making
• Accountable for business reviews, QBRs, metrics and reporting, in partnership with other key business contacts, ensuring both the financial and strategic story aligns with overall business strategy
• Responsible for oversight and approval of changes to an approved plan or outlook for day-to-day execution and strategic efforts
• Drive and have accountability for reviewing investment strategies, having a deep understanding of business cases, fully understanding the proposed work and being able to articulate the outcomes and benefits of the investments
• Drive opportunities and the execution of optimization and efficiencies 
• Support and contribute to the overall Finance organization Transformation agenda
• Provide strategy for driving change within team inclusive of transformation efforts, e. g., process efficiency, reduction of EUCs, etc.
• Drive risk & control agenda including data accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting and metrics; identify, assess, and escalate risks

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12 years of experience in Finance or related fields, with experience interacting with and influencing senior managers, leading, and managing C-level leaders
• Proven track record of building strong relationships with senior executives
• Experience within financial services
• Experience providing financial analysis for monthly forecasts, strategic multi-year forecasts, and annual budgets
• Exceptional analytical skills, combined with an ability to deliver analysis in a concise manner
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills (written / verbal)
• Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities
• Experience in business/corporate strategy is a plus
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred

The Vice President – Asset Based Finance Origination assists Senior Transactors in originating, structuring, and executing debt solutions for our Commercial Banking Clients. Based in New York / Los Angeles, the ideal candidate will:

• Support new asset-based deal opportunities with an analysis of capital structure, borrowing base, credit profile, market comparables, and industry research
• Develop targeted prospecting lists; join Senior Transactors in client and prospect meetings to develop and sustain enduring relationships
• Assist in the creation of pitch materials; screen opportunities; propose appropriate structures; work alongside Underwriting to green light transactions; draft and negotiate term sheets with clients (interfacing with legal counsel); work with underwriting partners to help shepherd internal approvals; negotiate legal documentation and manage an efficient closing process
• Interface with banker coverage and other partners to coordinate execution of transactions and to effectively meet deal timelines
• Develop strong partnerships with internal constituents within the Independent Risk, Syndication, and Coverage teams; maintain a high level of credibility with key stake holders
• Exhibit business and credit judgment as well as to provide balanced assessments in working with internal team members and partners
• Maintain a strong attention to detail and complete work in assigned timeframes.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Asset Based Finance
