[What you will be working on]
The Organisation Development and Planning Division (ODP) is responsible for driving long-term organisational effectiveness in MAS. Drawing from various disciplines and fields, ODP comprises dynamic individuals with competencies across culture and leadership development, change management and internal communications, behavioural sciences, and corporate planning. The division also serves as the Secretariat of the MAS Board and the Appeal Advisory Panel (AAP).
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the MAS Board, Appeal and Corporate Planning portfolios:
Board secretariat: Lead on, inter alia, organising the quarterly Board meetings, handling the appointments of Board members, and reviewing board governance policies and processes, such as code of conduct, remuneration and conflict of interest matters.
AAP secretariat: On appeals, any person aggrieved by an administrative decision by the MAS can appeal to the Minister-in-charge of MAS. This role will support MAS in the preparations for the repeal of the regulatory regime for the registered fund management companies (RFMCs). With the repeal, over 200 RFMCs will have to apply for a licence in order to continue operating. RFMCs that meet criteria will be approved to become licensed fund management companies.

You will be a member of the Enforcement Policy and Legal Division of the Enforcement Department.
The Enforcement Department is responsible for investigating and enforcing breaches of the laws administered by the Banking and Insurance Group and the Capital Markets Group under various statutes, including but not limited to the Securities and Futures Act, the Financial Advisers Act, the Trust Companies Act, the Banking Act, the Insurance Act and the MAS Act. The Department jointly investigates market misconduct offences under Part XII of the Securities and Futures Act with the Commercial Affairs Department. These offences include insider trading and market manipulation. The Department is also responsible for anti-money laundering enforcement work.
You will advise on a range of enforcement actions, which the Department may undertake such as criminal prosecution, civil penalty actions and other regulatory enforcement action.
