Primary Responsibility: 

• Responsible for performing and completing the third-party audit cycle, and conducting specific training programs.  Also responsible for providing assistance in marketing the division’s services to clients and coaching auditors under training or supervision

Secondary Responsibility:

3. To facilitate the early discharge of patients if clinically appropriate, by using where necessary, community teams

4. To actively participate and be engaged in daily multidisciplinary team meetings

5. To provide senior support and input into clinical decisions taken by junior medical staff

6. To ensure the provision of accurate and timely communication between the Acute Medical Unit, other units within the Trust (including critical care), and in primary or intermediate care settings

7. To work to provide smooth, timely and appropriate transfer of patients to appropriate settings within the Trust and local community

8. To participate in the development and implementation of care pathways for older patients presenting with frailty to the acute hospital

Teaching & Training

1. To share responsibility with other Consultants for the recruitment, appointment and supervision of junior medical staff in accordance with Trust policies.

2. To devote time on a regular basis for teaching and training of junior medical staff, contributing as appropriate to post-graduate and continuing medical education.

3. To devote time, through agreement on a regular basis for teaching and training of medical students as part of agreed teaching arrangements with the Foundation School.

Management & Governance

1. To be responsible for the management, appraisal and discipline of junior doctors who are attached to you, after taking appropriate advice, where appropriate.

2. To maintain personal and professional development. The post holder will be expected to register with their respective Royal College for the purpose of CME/CPD and to fulfil the requirements of that registration.

3. To provide advice, as required to the Executive and Trust board, General Practitioners and other interested parties, on the provision of planning of clinical services locally, regionally and nationally in keeping with confidentiality agreements relating to Trust business.

4. To co-operate in the present framework agreement of management arrangements.

5. To fully participate in Clinical Governance arrangements across the Trust including participation in clinical audit, research (where appropriate), pursuing an agreed agenda with colleagues and the Trust Board and fully co-operating in implementing the results in order to achieve best practice.

This is a Consultant in Frailty appointment anticipated to commence as soon as possible. Post audit, provide responses and ensure all actions are carried out as agreed with the relevant parties through an appropriate monitoring process. Develop and maintain a tracking system for audits (internal and external), inspections and serious breaches and ensure all actions are completed within the agreed timeframes. Develop a change request log to support ongoing discussion with the third-party supplier. Provide regular update to the Chief Information Officer and other key internal stakeholders at senior management level. Manage staff and resources as instructed by the Data Quality Manager and act on behalf of the department manager as required, including budget management and monitoring responsibilities. This will include the procurement of training courses, travel etc up to the level agreed by the Finance department.

Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop, execute, and oversee the IIA Singapore Academy’s strategy and workplans with the various committees to raise the profile of the Institute.

• Lead the Education & Professional Development Committee and Technical & Technology Committee and develop workplans.

• Evaluate the relevance and quality of courses through the review of course outlines and training materials.

• Drive the development of new learning and training pathways relevant to the future economy, including online training.

• Execute the Career Conversion Programme for Internal Auditors by providing strategic and technical support.

• Develop and maintain relations with strategic stakeholders, including professional bodies and universities, to explore the development of partnerships, roundtables, and seminars.

• Serve as one of IIA Singapore’s writers, including the development of thought leadership reports, publications, and funding proposals.

• Work closely with the respective team to ensure the programme, contents, and speakers of IIA Singapore align with its strategic positioning.

• Support the development of IIA Singapore's new initiatives.

Qualifications:

· CIA certification holder

· Bachelor's or post-graduate degree in related field and minimal 8 years of relevant working experience preferably in internal audit

· Proven experience within the training, education, or professional services industry would be ideal. Good understanding of corporate learning and development needs

· Excellent interpersonal and communication and presentation skills

· Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and drive growth

· Self-motivated and able to work independently while able to work as a team

· Comfortable to engage with stakeholders at all levels

· Strong attention to detail, self-directed initiative, resourcefulness, and innovative

· Proficient in using MS Office i.e., PowerPoint and Excel and other productivity tools

Reporting into the Group Deputy CEO , you will lead an audit team to develop and maintain an audit charter to uphold the standards of the Internal Audit Department. Development of strategies, group initiatives to enhance audit guidelines/standards for the group.

The ideal candidate comes with at least 15 years relevant Audit experience in banking or financial services, candidates who have global markets audit background will be highly advantageous.
