Your new role
The firm are seeking a Senior Associate or Principal Associate with expertise in sports law to join one of their seven offices. In this role, you'll collaborate with senior professionals, and other members of the Regulatory, Public, and Commercial Disputes team. The firm's sports team provides legal representation for players' associations, individual athletes, clubs, and agents across a broad spectrum of sports law issues. These include regulatory compliance, contract negotiations, image rights, marketability, and personal matters. The ideal candidate would also handle media and entertainment-related work.Additionally, the firm has substantial experience advising leagues and governing bodies on corporate governance matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand and identify industry issues which are appropriate for external communication. Work with business leaders to understand strategy and objectives and incorporate these into communication planning and activity

• Develop communication strategy, seeking high-level placements in media, Linkedin articles, blogs for key spokespeople in the region

• Build a database of journalist contacts and manage relationship development programme to retain credibility with the media by ensuring consistent relationships with journalists (press, broadcast, online, trade, wires)

• Draft a wide range of materials to include press releases, reactive Q&A, blogs and other necessary materials. Use exceptional writing, editorial, research and project management skills to produce leading content that increases brand awareness

• Serve as a media and communications advisor to the practices and partner groups. Brief and prepare spokespeople for interviews. Build relationships with partners. Propose content to publish on their social media profile

• Secure and manage speaking opportunities for senior leaders in France & Belgium focused on key conferences and themes

• Lead the PR Strategy in Belgium in coordination with the local Partner team and supported by the local PR agency

• Work with the wider external affairs team, manage issues and crises if/when they occur, and well as collaborating with colleagues across the business and external providers, including the France & Belgium marketing team, international PR leads, our social media and digital teams, and the Belgium PR agency

• Liaise and where necessary coordinate with other geographies to drive international PR campaigns, localising PR content with relevance to the France & Belgium market

• Work with our internal comms team to communicate PR successes to internal audiences as well as amplifying content through social media

Skills and Attributes:

• A minimum of five years’ relevant PR experience, either from an in-house or agency background. A track record of developing and delivering communication strategies is desirable, as is experience of working closely with journalists and responding to media requests

As a Media Operations Senior Associate in Retail, your primary focus will be on the execution and setup of seamless retail advertising campaigns. Digital Media Supplier Packages Campaign Execution (70%)

• Provide assistance in verifying that package assets submitted conform to templates, and coordinate the verification process to ensure the accurate setup of supplier packages.
