Staffing Network Scotland Ltd is a leading recruitment agency specializing in providing staffing solutions to various industries across Scotland. We are currently seeking a dedicated Class 1 HGV Driver to join our client's team for general haulage work using curtain-sided trailers.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver to undertake general haulage work using curtain-sided trailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across designated routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate Class 2 HGV vehicles equipped with curtain-sided trailers.
Transport goods and materials to designated locations following specified routes and schedules.
Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and regulations during loading, transport, and unloading processes.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the mechanical soundness of the vehicle.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and clients to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and workspace.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 2 HGV license with CPC qualification.
Proven experience operating curtain-sided trailers preferred.
Solid understanding of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
Excellent driving record with no major violations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as needed.
