As an Outside Food Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for the overall sales and relationship management efforts for existing and prospective customers within your assigned territory. Assistant Transportation Manager
Location: Aberdeen, Maryland
Gordon Food Service delivers daily to restaurants, healthcare operations, and schools so our customers depend on us- and we depend on our transportation team for excellence! Join our team as an Assistant Transportation Manager and help ensure the efficient and economical delivery of Gordon Food Service products
As an Assistant Transportation Manager, no two days are the same, but typically you'll be involved in the following:
Leadership - driver meetings, mentoring, motivating, ride-along/coaching trips, and training
Team Management - participation in interviewing, hiring, training, performance assessments, and recognition
Operational Management - route balancing, dispatch, equipment assignments, backhaul scheduling

Industrial Maintenance

CDL A Delivery Driver
Location: 3301 NW 125th St., Miami, FL
Do you have a passion for driving? Are you looking for more home time? Picture yourself as a delivery driver with Gordon Food Service! Position Summary:
Provides friendly and efficient customer service, order processing and delivery support to customers of Gordon Food Service via phone, email and internet. Strengthens customer relationships through strong product knowledge and product application, delivery coordination, and error resolution. Promotes and utilizes E-Commerce technologies.
Essential Functions:
Answers customer questions, investigates and corrects errors to solve customer problems.
Manages customer orders (both stock and nonstock) manually, or via EDI, 3rd party ordering systems, or fax and completes timely callbacks/e-mails to discuss edits and confirm complete orders.
Arranges exception deliveries in collaboration with the Transportation department, UPS, and/or 3rd party delivery services.
Participates in the training of new Chain Accounts Representatives and attends ongoing training sessions.
Establishes rapport and working relationship with National Account Coordinator, National Account Manager, National Account Pricing Analyst , Chain Accounts Logistics Specialist, Logistics Sales Support Analyst, Credit Managers, Regional Chain Managers, Regional Account Coordinators and Call Center teams.
Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues and ideas.
Understands and communicates effective supply chain strategies in collaboration with core teams across all GFS distribution centers, transportation departments, as well as National Account and divisional logistics.

As a Non-Food Specialist, you will utilize knowledge and expertise of non-food, tabletop, chemical, and beverage-related products, services, and resources to provide divisional customers with strategic, profit-maximizing solutions.
What you'll do:

Utilizes relevant analytical and reporting tools to drive strategies, resources and support, in alignment with divisional key performance indicators and category goals and initiatives. (Includes profitability tools used to evaluate equipment placement.)
Collaborates with Regional Chemical and Beverage field service teams to drive profitable growth and relevant solutions to divisional customers.
Participates in the execution of food shows, other related shows and activities in support of strategic divisional events.
Ensures consistent and relevant non-food product and solutions training for sales teams, in collaboration with other divisional marketing team members.
Maintains knowledge of current trends in the field.

Position Requirements
A High School Diploma/GED is required
Bachelor's degree preferred

Maintaining a valid state driver's license and a safe driving record
