Providing research support to various clinical specialities within Ophthalmology that are conducting research at UHL. Take responsibility for the management, co-ordination, and facilitation of concurrent research studies. We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Community Learning Disability Nurses (Band 6) to work across the Peterborough area. You will have a wealth of specialist experience relevant to working within a community based multi-disciplinary team supporting people with learning disabilities and will have a demonstrable ability to provide strong clinical leadership and supervisory support.

As a Senior Nurse, you will contribute effectively to the ongoing development of the service in line with National Policies and evidence based practice. As an autonomous practitioner you will manage a specialist case load providing assessment and interventions in relation to the health needs of adults with a learning disability.

You will provide professional supervision to other staff and students including appraisals and professional development and will have a clinical role in the Peterborough locality initially but may be required to work within other localities. There will be an expectation that you will also contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of learning disability services, including contributing to defined projects as delegated by the CLTT/LDP management team via the Lead Nurse.

Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle.You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
