ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Care Assistant at our client's care home, you’ll look after the different needs of residents to enable our client to deliver quality, person-centred care and support. Your role will involve supervising and inspiring a team of dedicated Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You can also expect to support the clinical team in a specific area, such as medication, assessments, care plans or care reviews. Like everyone here, as a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll always respect the dignity and preferences of our client's residents as well playing your own part in creating an environment that’s warm, welcoming and vibrant.
ABOUT YOU
You should have an NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care to join as a Senior Care Assistant. We’re looking for people who are warm-hearted, compassionate and committed to giving each resident individualised care and support. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your career through ongoing training opportunities, so there’s no limit to how far you can go. Senior Care Assistant (Nights) based at Amathea, Workington
Available Hours:
Permanent - Full Time - 44 hours per week.
We are only accepting applicants that live within a 30 minute commute from the care home.
About the role
As a Senior Care Assistant at MHA you will lead and inspire a team of committed care assistants to provide the highest quality of care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. Duties will be varied and include supporting our residents with personal care needs and helping them to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. In addition, you will administer medication and maintain clear and accurate records. Every day will be different and you'll have the opportunity to use your leadership and people skills to make a real difference.
About you
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be passionate about caring for older people, have previous care experience and, as a minimum, hold an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in health and social care and be willing to complete level 3. In addition, you will have experience leading, coaching and motivating a team to deliver high quality care.
You will have a kind, warm and caring nature and be able to work well as part of a team but also use your own initiative. Patience, communication and listening skills are equally important. Maintaining accurate records, time management and prioritising tasks will also be strengths. a) Responsible for customer support and service for purpose of sales related matters to meet the sales target plan including account management, preparation of proposal, quoting, payment matters, liaison and fulfilling sales & repair orders.
b) Secure good relationship with customers.
