Primary responsibility is to provide supervision and instruction to 25-30 inmate workers who are assigned the duties of cooks, butchers, bakers, dining and dish workers, vegetable preparation workers, and pot and pan washers.

Serves as a training instructor in a vocational or occupational training program in the Education Department of a Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) correctional facility and may also serve as a program coordinator for other vocational/occupational training programs.

Selects and/or develops curriculums which focus on the appropriate vocational training area.

This position has direct responsibility for the delivery of classroom training for vocational and apprenticeship courses in the field/trade of Welding.

Develops a curriculum design and record-keeping system to organize and track student progress through identified course work.

Ensures the training program(s) are implemented and delivered in compliance with Bureau policies, Department of Labor, and Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training regulations, and the standards established by other certifying agencies and organizations.

Serve as apprenticeship program coordinator with responsibility for coordinating the various occupational training programs and classes, as well as responsibilities which include development, review and evaluation of the vocational trades program.

Responsible for providing comprehensive psychological services to inmates who have been identified as needing closer supervision or a greater level of care than afforded other general population inmates due to a moderate, severe or acute mental illness, to include but not limited to psychosis, mania and/or major depression.

Primary responsibility of making professional decisions concerning inmates under his/her care, with consultative supervision from the Chief Psychologist for clinical decisions, peer clinical consultation with the provider of psychiatric services, and administrative issue consultation with the Chief Psychologist, Health Services Administrator, Associate Warden of Programs, and the Warden.

May be required to assume the responsibilities of another psychologist or of the Chief Psychologist in that individual's absence and may provide technical supervision and guidance for institution related training programs.

Serves as a resource to other psychologists as well as other staff members including physicians, psychiatrists, physician assistants, nurses, unit and case managers, correctional services staff and the administration regarding mental health diagnosis and treatment, and the clinical case management of the seriously mentally ill (SMI) inmates.

Functions as a Specialty Treatment Program Specialist within a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional facility and the primary responsibilities are to deliver services to inmates in an effort to help them overcome psychological problems.

Provides group and individual counseling to inmates with the psychological problems targeted by the Challenge Program: high security inmates with antisocial attitudes and behaviors, substance abuse, and/or mental illness.

Reads inmate file records to extract information relevant to treatment.

Identifies deficiencies and excesses in inmates' patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior and recommends or devises steps to remediate them.

Learns and applies new assessment and treatment techniques for helping inmates overcome psychological problems and plans aftercare programs for inmates released to halfway houses and community.

Advises the Specialty Program Coordinator or Advance Care Level Psychologist on issues of program content, selection and expulsion of inmates, scheduling of groups, and other issues relevant to the overall operation of the program.

Services to inmates who are members of a special population in an effort to help inmates address issues specific to the special population of which they are a member.

Performs duties consistent with the identified target population.

Provides group and individual counseling to inmates who are members of a targeted special population.

Assist in community/reentry planning to address special population needs which may include residential reentry center placement, community treatment services, hospital placements, street releases or coordinating with the United States Probation Office.

Maintains liaison with the U.S. District Courts and D.C. Superior Court, other committing agencies, local law enforcement agencies, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), U.S. Postal Service (USPS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), U.S. Parole Commission (USPC), and many other local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Primary duties encompass monitoring the obligation status of the Salaries and Expenses (S&E) appropriation, the Buildings and Facilities (B&F) appropriation, Trust Fund Operations, and Inmate Deposit fund accounting. The incumbent is responsible for providing administrative and financial support services and maintaining the daily status of accounting data reflected in the Financial Management Information System (FMIS).

Manages purchase orders, contracts, travel authorizations, government transportation requests, and other source documents and assures they are obligated against the proper appropriated and non-appropriated funds. Reviews documents for coding accuracy and ensures accurate and timely entry into the on-line accounting system.

Maintains automated obligation records and source documents on a daily basis. Prepares, reconciles, and ensures funds are available for obligation accruals, adjusts accruals in the month and quarter in which the obligation is incurred and ensures accurate entry into automated accounting system. Recording of the obligations into undelivered orders and/or accounts payable shall be performed in accordance with GAO Title 7 and other government-wide accounting standards and in conformance with applicable auditing standards. Perform travel functions in the FMIS Travel Module such as establishing a Travel Authorization (obligation), issuing Travel Advances and preparing Travel Vouchers. Resolve Travel Advance problems at time of settlement due to the restraints of the module. Research and follow-up will be required when reconciling the Travel Advance account. Assists in the preparation of monthly account reconciliations and adjustments of accounts for prior year appropriations. Work will involve the Building and Facilities Appropriation, the Trust Fund, the Salaries and Expenses Appropriation, and various multi-year appropriations.

Responsible for performing all clinical laboratory testing in a Federal Bureau of Prison correctional facility. Will function as a generalist performing testing in all disciplines of the clinical laboratory including hematology, blood bank, coagulation, serology, urinalysis, microbiology, chemistry and specimen collection.

The nature of the work demands an advanced thorough knowledge of clinical laboratory sciences as they relate to the performance of laboratory analysis on human blood, tissues and body fluids. A specialized knowledge of clinical correlation which relates laboratory test data to human physiology, a broad knowledge of laboratory testing methodologies, laboratory equipment/ instrumentation maintenance and quality assurance procedures is required.

Provides guidance to managers at all levels of the agency in the interpretation and coordination of residential reentry services and safety and environmental health as it relates to programs under the control of RRMB.
