Mechanical Engineer - What we are looking for
A mid-level to senior mechanical engineer within the process industry with a minimum of five years proven industry skills and work experience. You will join the Equipment Engineering department working on various process equipment packages for the production of renewable gases. Process equipment packages consist of various components coupled together to achieve a specified function within a process system (such as water purification, sea-water injection, desalination, crude oil distillation etc…)
In order to maintain the functionality, performance and reliability of a process system, every component included in the Package (e.g. pump, compressor, valve, pressure vessel, electric motor, Instrument, control system, etc…) will need to be specified accordingly.
Mechanical Engineer - Responsibilities
The Package engineers' main objective will be a complete ownership of these various multidisciplinary units/equipment procured to build the system and sub-system packages. You will work in the Electrical, Instrumentation and Control team. The electrical engineer is in charge of the specifying right technical specification of power supply unit on Proposals, FEED and EPC Projects. Key interactions of the electrical engineer are internally with Project teams, Procurement, Compliance, Quality and others engineering disciplines, externally with Clients, Vendors, Suppliers.
Responsibilities
* Prepare the power electronics technical specification and hardware planning with respect to regional grid connection conditions and project requirements
* Design and preparation of power supply unit specifications based on international design codes and standards (IEC, NE, ATEX, CE)
* Develops electrical system architecture, electrical system requirements, electrical schematics, harness drawings, single line drawings and field wiring diagrams
* Participate in new product development teams
* The design and development of complex busbar and cable interconnections
* Assist in the development of plant layout, to reflect electrical design considerations
* Creating equipment specifications (transformers, rectifiers, switch boards)
* Approval, checking and preparation of design/engineering documentation (e.g. cable schedules, single line diagrams, load schedules.)

About You
Knowledge and Experience
* Bachelor's or master's degree level or equivalent, in Electrical Engineering
* 5+ years of experience in electrical and hardware planning for process engineering (large-scale)
* Extensive knowledge of the current European and North American standards and regulations in electrical engineering
* Experience in the field of electrical protection concepts
* Good command of technical documentation
* Familiar with hardware planning using electrical CAD systems

* To model and detail detailed in-house products through to full release to the shopfloor producing detailed manufacturing drawings from 3D models (SolidWorks). This will involve using the Company's standards library and customising if necessary.
* To create and release BOM's (Bill of Materials) within the company MRP system.
* To produce and maintain technical documents for the Engineering and Sales departments, operating manuals, H&S, maintenance etc.
