- Maintain an understanding of the employment problems, constituencies laws and special guidance pertaining to issues of disability and reasonable accommodation.
- Review issues involved in EEO complaints to identify substantive matters reflecting patterns or practice, supervisory attitudes, or other problem areas that result in denial of equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities.
- Analyze employment situations and specific employment problems relating to individuals with disabilities to develop corrective action plans.
- Develop corrective action plans to correct deficiencies and/or barriers in the individuals with disabilities program.
- Manage a reasonable accommodation program through tasks such as updating the Reasonable Accommodation Tracker, recommending effective accommodations, conducting training, and advising managers and employees.
- Lead a Reasonable Accommodation Committee (RAC) and provide technical oversight and support to personnel responsible for acting on reasonable accommodation requests.
