Scope of Position

Responsible for the overall smooth operation of the Hotel. Act as the "Liaison Officer" between guests and Management. Raise accurate and detail log entries for all incidents and occurrences in the hotel and follow through closely to achieve “win-win” situation between guests and hotel.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Officer carries out Room Sales via telephone or correspondences, ensuring that all information furnished to guests are accurate and appropriate. He/she will ensure that all data entry into systems are error free.

Scope of Position

Supervises the work of the subordinates and extends professional technical guidance/skills when so needed. Trains, motivates and disciplines subordinates and ensures that all work performed is in accordance to specification. Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

• Responsible for the assignment of job/task to shift technicians and ensures that such completed work conforms with the standards so established by the Hotel.

• Conducts random inspection of all work done by technicians in his shift.
• Ensure a proper and thorough handover of duties to the Duty Engineer on the next shift.
• Carry out daily inspections of plant rooms, boiler room, fire command centre, generator room.
• During the night shift, he ensures that all public areas are checked/inspected for burnt-out light bulbs and instructs his immediate subordinates to replace such burnt-out light bulbs.
• During the night shift, he has to ensure that the correct engineering stock is maintained in the cabinet so allocated and completes such requisition form when stocks are drawn.
• Provides guidance and technical training to immediate subordinates in the performance of their duties.
• In the absence of the Chief Engineer, he will be required to assume the duties of the Chief Engineer as so delegated by the Chief Engineer.
• Appraises the performance of his subordinates and makes such recommendations to his immediate superior.
• Any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
• Exercise control over technical drawings in the control room.
• To conduct PAT (Portable Appliances Test) for all portable equipment in guest rooms, offices and outlets. Ensure the PAT test schedule is updated and within its expiry date.

Senior Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Technician

Job Description & Requirements

Senior M&E Technician receives instructions from the Duty Engineer and performs daily Preventive Maintenance to plants and equipments. Performs repair work to mechanical and electrical appliances/equipments and changes blown bulbs as and when noticed. To supervise the work of the technician in their respective shifts. Performs stand-by duties in the control room and responds to calls promptly. Responsible for an engineering activities in the midnight shift where no other senior engineering staff is on duty.

Duties and Supporting Responsibilities

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of:

• HVAC System
• Electrical installations
• Central refrigeration and condensing units
• Plumbing System
• Fire Protection System
• Kitchen equipment and all other M&E related equipment

1. In the absence of Duty Engineer, he/she is responsible for the assignment of job/task to shift technician and ensures that such completed work conforms with the standard so established by the Hotel.
2. Collects approved work order sheet from Duty Engineer and ensures that the work/task as described in the work order is carried out expeditiously, accurately, skillfully and economically.
3. On completion of the work/task, he/she completes the work order form by providing information regarding date/time, material used etc. as provided in the form.
4. Records all plants/equipment and utilities logging accurately.
5. Ensures that all plants/equipment are operated properly in accordance to the manufacturer’s specifications and as economically as possible.
6. Receives instructions from the Duty Engineer on job priorities and attends to guest on engineering complaints as so directed by the Duty Engineer.
7. Maintains and cleans the work area at all times.
8. Conducts and performs Planned Preventive Maintenance in accordance to pre-established PPM schedule.
9. Conducts regular testing of emergency stand-by generator in accordance to establish schedule.
10. Report to the Duty Engineer of stock situation in the reserve stock cabinet.
11. Notify the Duty Engineer of any irregularities to plant and equipment or abuse of engineering equipment by other Hotel staff
12. Whilst on night shift/evening shift, he/she inspects all public areas and reports/replace burnt out light bulbs.
13. Any other tasks/duties as assigned by the Duty Engineer or Supervisor.
