About the role:
The objective of this position is to be the local technical expert and follow up on TOMRA’s reverse vending products. You will be required to interface with our partners, customers, Technicians and system users. This role will act as the conduit between TOMRA Collection Australia (TCA) and TOMRA’s global head office in Norway.

Reporting into the Technical Support Manager, this is a technical based role where you will be required to build a comprehensive knowledge of TOMRA Reverse Vending Machine (RVM) functionality, including hardware and software, with particular focus on the RVM beverage container recognition process. This knowledge will then be applied to investigate anomalies reported by the machines, to understand the basis for these anomalies, and recommend measures and risk mitigations to minimise future incidents.

This position will have a responsibility across Compliance and Loss Prevention functions and will be responsible for driving TOMRA’s loss prevention strategy to ensure reputational, legal and regulatory requirements are always upheld, by minimising fraud committed on the range of services and products that we provide internal and external stakeholder management is also paramount, to effectively provide timely and accurate investigations into incidents. Internal Audits at TOMRA-operated sites are also required to be performed in our various jurisdictions throughout Australia.

Additionally, this role will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing the Quality Control Officers and the Database Expert.

The role will involve delivery of training to internal and external stakeholders to ensure all are aware of various policies when visiting TOMRA sites.

Travel to various sites across NSW, QLD and WA will be required for this role.

Some other tasks you may perform include:

• Build an understanding of TOMRA Collection Australia’s product portfolio and processes
• Build a comprehensive understanding of the RVM hardware and software, especially the RVM recognition process
• Detect, record and investigate any fraud attempts against TOMRA or our customers
• Maintain TOMRA’s audit program, ensuring processes and practices are designed to minimise fraud and other business risks
• Preparation and drafting of investigation plans, correspondence, reports and memorandums
• Provide written correspondence on investigation findings and identified risks
• Responsible for coordinating responses in relation to fraud reporting commitments with external bodies, including government agencies
• Managing and conducting the training/development of fraud and other business risk initiatives
• Regular reporting to the Leadership Team
• Contribute to a high standard of service to all internal/external clients through building effective working relationships with relevant parties
• Host and manage Loss Prevention meetings, both internal and external
• Analysing data gathered from the RVMs – suggest, test and implement any performance improving actions
• Work closely with the Database Specialist (direct report) to find a balance between minimising fraud but optimising acceptance rates
• Work closely with the Quality Control Officers (direct reports) to not only ensure TOMRA meets its contractual obligations, but to highlight any possible business risks throughout the various state networks

As Administrator for the Project Management Office (PMO), the primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive support to the wider team, ensuring smooth operations and effective project execution. Duties the Project Administrator may perform:

Reporting to the NSW Project Manager, the objective of this position is to support the NSW Project Management Office with the planning and installation of TOMRA’s small format Reverse Vending Machines throughout NSW, to ensure deadlines and compliance requirements are met.

The Project Co-Ordinator will join a Team of Project Managers and Project Co-Ordinators working on the network in NSW. The role will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating project documentation, monitoring project progress and co-ordinating communications to the wider project team. This position will play a key role in assessing proposed sites for safety, functionality and certifying that it meets the correct site requirements. Assessment activities include, but are not limited to, compiling site reports, contributing to budget forecasts and seeking approval from critical stakeholders.

A key element of this role includes stakeholder management. The role will encompass liaising with vendors, contractors, local councils, consultants, the internal sales team, and other internal stakeholders within the Service department. In the event Project Managers are unavailable, work with the other Project Co-Ordinator to support with the progression of projects and mobilisation of installations.

The Field Service Engineer (FSE) is responsible for delivering high quality service to ensure enhanced machine performance and an excellent customer experience. Our Field Service Engineers are proactive, think critically, take initiative and are responsible for ensuring our solutions are delivered, installed, and maintained on an on-going basis.

Field Service Engineers have an aptitude for machine operations, mechanical, electrical, computation and operational, and electrical assembly and installation. He/she is responsible for meeting customer supply demands to ensure all aspects of end-to-end system quality are met, from installation to preventative maintenance – ensuring our customers receive optimal results from machinery. 

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure machines are performing to customer expectations.
• React to machine issues in the field within an appropriate timeframe and ensure prompt resolution. Where an easy fix is not possible, ensure customer is well informed of the plan and potential costs.
• Problem solves for operational or mechanical efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machine problems and/or performance issues through to resolution.
• Perform preventative maintenance to include undertaking pre-season and post-season servicing of machines, and work to enhance ongoing performance [of] the machines.
• Complete removal and installation of mechanical components such as shafts, bearings, belts, motors.
• Work collaboratively with engineering and/or research and development to improve work instructions and/or assist in the writing and editing of “build as” assembly and testing procedure documents.
• Maintain close relationship with sales leadership by providing customer updates and advising on any potential sales opportunities or customer concerns for follow-up action(s).
