- Responsibility for the installation, maintenance, testing, evaluation, and repair of Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), Installation Campus Area Networks (ICANs), advanced network communication devices.
- Provides virtual support to users and/or Local Network Enterprise Centers (LNECs) within the Northeast Regional Network Enterprise Center areas of responsibility
- Programs and maintains networking devices in support of Non-sensitive Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet) Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and cryptographic devices in support of Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet).
- Troubleshoots and resolves all information technology problems and determines whether cable, equipment, or operations is the problem.
- Reviews requests for additions or modifications to existing network systems and compares with present configurations.
- Develops plans in conjunction with system administrators for emergency service restoration.
- Collects and reports Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) and Information Technology (IT) metrics data as required.
- Plan and Lead work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work in coordination with the division Chief.
- Coach the team in the selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods and techniques, provide advice on work methods, practices and procedures
