The Opportunity
Our location in Lake Bluff, Illinois, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Tax Analyst – Transfer Pricing. This position reports to our Transfer Pricing Manager and will provide support in the areas of transfer pricing strategic planning and compliance. The position will support the team in developing, implementing, documenting and defending Abbott’s worldwide transfer pricing strategy.
What You Will Do:
Prepare and/or review required global transfer pricing documentation and benchmarks.
Support the implementation of policies, procedures and practices, as well as financial models, regarding the pricing and documentation of all intra-group transactions.
Support the implementation of BEPS initiatives.
Work with local country finance and accounting teams and provide support on local country audits.
Support intercompany services in regards analysis, initiatives, modeling and implementation and compliance with existing laws and regulations.
Evaluate and compute where appropriate transfer pricing adjustments.
Support transfer pricing global planning including intangible property planning (international tax & transfer pricing planning for business and entities).
Analyze complex financial reporting systems, processes and policies and overlay required transfer pricing policies and systems over those processes.
Experience You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree, preferably with an advanced degree in economics, tax, accounting or finance.
Public accounting experience preferred.
4+ years of transfer pricing or similar experience.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, financial modeling, accounting, prioritization, time management and communication skills (both oral and written).
Self-starter, team player (across multiple time zones), strong attention to detail, ability to effectively interface throughout an organization at multiple levels.
Ability to work under pressure to demanding deadlines imposed by project timescales or tax authority requirements.

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Control Room Operator – 2nd Shift is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all efforts to assure the WMS (Warehouse Management System), EMS (Equipment Management System), and associated equipment are always operational. The position will work onsite at our Columbus, OH (High Rise Warehouse) location.
This position is critical to eliminate down time, maximize efficiency, and ensure that the plant finished goods inventory is accurate. The Control Room Operator is responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of all distribution center equipment and systems used to support the business. Additional objectives include validations/certification of the system and inventory, identifying and implementing changes to the system, catching picking errors, assisting with training, and performing operation activity to help the team when necessary. The Control Room Operator must maintain compliance to all applicable GMP, safety, and quality guidelines. The control room operator will serve as the liaison between Division and all other plant areas to coordinate systems project upkeep and trouble shooting.
Create very accurate & legible documentation, performs data entry accurately, maintains all applicable systems with needed information, and safely and efficiently process pallets through the EMS system, including ensuring inventory is accurate when receiving product in to the WMS system (i.e. verifies the SKU, quantity, and lot number at each touch point)
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system. Certain errors could shut down the shipping function of the Distribution Center or in shipment of unreleased product. Keeping inventory valued at over $50MM accurate and ready for audit.
Coordinate on time shipping of orders for approximately 55 truckloads per day at approximately $150,000 of value per load to assure that customer orders are met on time
Act as the plant liaison for all communications on the Material Control systems. Retrieve and disseminate information as requested by the plant and division. Assist with completion of rework activity and pulling sample requests.
Investigate and assist with the fix for computer system and radio frequency problems with the bar code readers
Verify information between EMS and WMS match and where necessary troubleshoots and correct inventory discrepancies
Assist with validation/VCR (Validation Change Request) details to assure computer system is properly validated and remains validated with any changes made
The Control Room Operator is responsible for operational support during down time including loading, unloading, picking, and creating bills of lading (BOL’s)
Some examples of the equipment and systems include but are not limited to the following: Operation of Power Industrial Equipment such as forklifts, Cranes, AGV’s, barcode scanners to manage inventory in the WMS (Cambar), BlueJay TMS (Transportation Management System), SAP, Security gates, cameras, ticket applicators, pallet invertors, and any other systems or equipment needed to meet the demands of the business
Contact is made with Division Logistics, Division Customer Services, Division and Plant MIS, Inventory Accounting, Plant Logistics, Cambar (the software supplier) and other areas as needed to administer system upkeep
Accountable for personal safety and adhering to all applicable safety guidelines. Must communicate safety and GMP concerns to Columbus Distribution Center leadership & follow up to assure the concerns are addressed.
Accountable for performing tasks that need completed in a timely manner or need expedited. Must check e-mail at the start of each shift when possible to assure all directives are addressed. Must communicate to all shifts as to status of the business.
Make decisions based on awareness of the area operations is necessary
Accountable for complying with all applicable FDA (GMP), USDA, OSHA and Abbott Nutritional Supply Chain regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines
Travel as required, approximately 3%, including supplier visits

This is a 2nd Shift position. The schedule for this role is Mondays – Fridays from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM EST
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
Prior job experience within warehousing operations
Work sequence priorities may change with little notice, must be able to be flexible
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to lift and maneuver objects of considerable weight (50 lbs.)
Ability to travel approximately 3%, including supplier visits
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate Degree in business/technical field or equivalent education and experience
6 months or more of job experience within warehousing operations
In-depth knowledge of all receiving/warehouse operations, procedures, and requirements which usually are obtained through on-the-job training
Self-motivated and possess the ability to perform with minimum supervision
Experience with tools and equipment related to the position is desired (hand tools, wearing of full body harness, sit-down forklift, stand up pick vehicle, computer knowledge/skills). This position requires excellent written/verbal communication skills, very good interpersonal skills, analytical troubleshooting skills, ability to multitask, and being a very good team player.
Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.
Knowledge of finished goods inventory transactions and the WMS (Warehouse Management System). Must also have knowledge of material moves, adjustments, and how it affects inventory accuracy.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer document change control of Work Orders, Plant Procedures, Job Aids and other Quality Assurance controlled documents
Assure that quality documents are properly distributed and controlled internally
Ensure that all necessary documents, filed processes, and other critical factors, formulations and documentation for packaging materials and ingredients are in place prior to production
Preserve and maintain an effective system for making authorized changes to individual Work Orders and other documents
Assure compliance to Federal Regulations pertaining to Low Acid Canned Foods, Infant Formula Quality Control, Acidified Foods, Bottled Water Regulations, Nutritional Labeling Laws, and Good Manufacturing Practices
Writing, updating, revising, and printing merged Work Orders and/or procedures on the AS400 system
Prepare and maintain all quality-related documents, manuals, protocols, deviation work order related material, procedures, issuances, and methods that define and document the quality control system
Updating the valid combination files associated with the Master Work Order that includes inputting and formatting the correct data into the Batch Calculation program
Write, update, route, track, issue, and implement all Master Work Orders and Quality related documents in accordance with Division Quality Assurance Documents Policy
Coordinate changes in the labeling and packaging materials with the correct formulations as required by the Master Specifications Manual
Comply with department expectations
Change control of Work Order and other QA documents. Coordinate document changes with Plant and Division representatives.
Arbitrate and resolve differences among various departments to assure that proposed changes follow the Plant, Division, and Corporate guidelines
Perform other specific duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, especially during the absence of other team members
Review process changes accurately before submitting to Sr. Documents Coordinator, Team Leader, or Supervisor
Identify and resolve conflicts, errors or omissions in change requests, DCA or any other quality documents
The Document Coordinator is expected to review their work for errors and correct before submitting for Senior Document Coordinators or Supervisors for review. Errors could result in an FDA observation, Corporate Compliance Audit Observation, Recall, OSHA, or other regulatory action, so attention to detail is required.

Core Job Responsibilities:
Manage data loaded to the Corporate Planning and Reporting System
Use Accpac general ledger system employing Fund Accounting
Post JEs and compiles financial statements. Crowe Horwath CPA audits annually and prepares tax return.
Support external audit and tax/filings payments including Abbott Fund Tanzania Ltd, a related party under the Abbott Fund and consolidated into the Abbott Fund.
Perform bank reconciliations and other reconciliations Accpac/ Symphony general ledger (e.g.: CAR reports and grants)
Coordinate Annual Global Contributions Reporting with Affiliate accounting for OUS contributions and revenue divisions for US contributions. An SOP documents these processes.
Prepare reports for Contribution Surveys for review and submission by Grants Manager
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Accounting knowledge of theory and practice based largely on education.
Strong Excel skills required.
This may also include an analyst with up to two years of experience beyond his/her degree.

The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location in the Corporate Financial Services division.
As the Accountant, you will perform a variety of accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
You will be responsible for the general financial accounting activities of the organization.
Activities include intercompany, accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, joint interest billings, and revenue and asset accounting.
What you'll Work On:
Reconcile accounts, prepare and post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position.
Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and prepare financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions.
These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings.
Provides guidance and training to less experienced staff.
Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
2+ years progressively responsible Accounting experience
Strong Microsoft skills, including use of pivot tables, vlookups and analysis of data using Excel

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

The Opportunity
This position is available in either Lake County, IL or Scarborough, Maine locations in the Abbott Global Procurement Services supporting our Rapid Diagnostics division. Diagnostic testing is a compass, providing information that helps in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a range of health conditions.

As the Senior Procurement Specialist, you’ll have the chance to implement the Category Procurement Strategy for Abbott’s Rapid Diagnostics business, working closely with Abbott’s Global Procurement team to drive synergies. This position is expected to be a key link among site procurement teams, the global procurement organization, and global category managers.
What You’ll Work On
Maintains good relations with internal and external customers by ensuring professional behavior consistent with Abbott Rapid Diagnostic’s policies and practices.
Negotiates and manages long term contracts which are not managed by the commodity management teams, within established limitations and scope of authority to obtain the most favorable business partnerships, including but not limited to quality, availability and cost.
Monitors supplier performance, communicates and takes action to maintain high levels of supplier performance.
Lead supplier identification in partnership with Category Procurement through aligning business requirements with supplier profile and capability to maximize the value proposition to Abbott with a risk mitigation and prevention mindset.
Drive value and savings for categories.
Collaborates with other functions.
Develop and execute competitive bidding processes (e.g. RFPs, RFIs, …..).
Lead in-person fact-based negotiations with suppliers based on an internally approved plan.
Perform value analysis on costs and supplier quotes.
Create and manage project plans, identify resources to support projects, drive multiple projects through complex sourcing processes and ensure end results meet business expectations.
Ensures all procurement policies and procedures are aligned with internal stakeholders e.g. Legal, Risk Management, Supply Chain.
Develop comprehensive knowledge in the assigned category.
Participates in data tracking, analysis, recommendation/business case development, and reporting to include scorecard, market and supplier assessments.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Complies with applicable corporate policies and procedures, and FDA/ISO/SOX regulations pertaining to the purchasing function.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, or Engineering.
4+ years of professional experience, preferably in strategic procurement (sourcing) or supply chain
Ability to travel domestically up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a highly regulated matrix environment, preferably in the Healthcare Industry
Strong customer services skills, including engagement with management
Strong procurement skills including contracting, negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
Experience managing and acting to achieve KPIs such as savings target, cycle time reductions, etc.
Ability to identify a problem, work with extended team to frame it, determine root cause, drive to potential solutions, and build and present a business case
Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
Certification from ISM or APICS is a plus
